The Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organization whose participating countries are former Soviet Republics, formed during the breakup of the Soviet Union.
Armenia
Following its Velvet Revolution in 2018, Armenia has registered significant democratic improvements. In conditions of heightened political polarization and security-related vulnerabilities, Armenia continues to tackle outstanding challenges in deepening democracy, with improvements noted its electoral environment, media freedoms and civil liberties.
