Indigenous Peoples Champions lift their voices for rights in the Philippines

As the Indigenous Peoples Champions for the Philippines project concludes, it stands as a significant collaboration between the European Union (EU), International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), and the Institute for Autonomy and Governance (IAG).

At its core, the project sought to empower indigenous communities by cultivating Indigenous Peoples' (IP) Champions—individuals capable of articulating and asserting their rights. Simultaneously, it aimed to establish Institutional IP Champions within national and sub-national institutions, ensuring the effective fulfillment of mandates related to IP rights. Hear from some of the IP Champions themselves about their experience.
