North American outreach and partnerships
Through its office in Washington D.C. the North America programme builds partnerships with democracy assistance organizations, think tanks, governmental institutions and multilateral organizations based in the United States. It convenes the Global Democracy Coalition, a network of more than 140 democracy organizations around the world. We also work with the United States government, which is as an Observer to International IDEA, collaborating with the State Department and USAID of issues like the Summit for Democracy and the Global Network for Securing Electoral Integrity.
