Shanti Ram Bimali has more than 20 years of working experiences on various levels of capacity building programs in Nepal and has expertise in the areas of election and governance. He is an Accrediting Level BRIDGE Facilitator and a dynamic trainer with a strong interest and skills in manual writing and workshop moderation.
Bimali currently serves as the coordinator for BRIDGE (Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections project) and Electoral Risk Management Tool in Nepal. He was also involved in designing and facilitating various training program in Myanmar.
Prior to that, he worked as a training coordinator/manager to design cascade training and implement it to the electoral staff of EC Nepal to efficiently conduct Constituent Assembly Elections 2008 and 2013 and other elections in 2017. Between1987-2007, Bimali worked as senior training officer at the Local Development Training Academy (a national government institute in the field of governance and local development) where he oversaw the capacity building program for the local authorities of Nepal.
Bimali holds a Master 'sdegree in Economics and speaks English and Nepali.
