If the EMB uses technology to collect voter registration data, is biometric data captured and used during registration?

Sección II, Capítulo XII

Artículo 99: El auxiliar fotógrafo tomará la fotografía del solicitante, revelándola de inmediato, para repetirla en caso de resultar deficiente la primera.

Artículo 101: Terminado el trabajo escrito el auxiliar dactilóscopo tomará, en las hojas correspondientes, las impresiones digitales del solicitante en el número y forma establecidos por los artículos 92, 93, 94 y 95.

Fingerprints and photographs are both captured during the registration process (for more information, please see Sección II, Capítulo XII, Artículo 99° & 101 of Law 7.690 of the National Civic Registry). Signatures are also collected.
