Ida has a bachelor's degree in Political Science and is currently in her last semester of a master's degree in Political Science from Uppsala University. Ida wrote her master's thesis on the connection between polarization of civil society and democratic backsliding in Europe. Democracy and issues related to democracy have been Ida’s focus throughout her studies. This interest in democracy is what motivated Ida to apply for an internship with International IDEA. In her free time, Ida likes to spend time outside, going for walks or skiing, and she plays the saxophone in an orchestra. Ida speaks Swedish and English.
