Reduction of the subsidy

1. Parties or coalitions of parties that do not comply with the provisions of paragraph 1 of article 4, suffer a reduction in the total value of the State subsidy for electoral campaigns, to which they would be entitled under article 47. of Law No. 11/2013 of September 25th in the following terms:
a) When the representation of women on the candidate list is less than 20%, the State subsidy is reduced by 35%;
b) When the representation of women on the candidate list is equal to or greater than 20% and less than 36%, the State subsidy is reduced by 25%.

2. Parties or coalitions of parties that do not respect the provisions of paragraph 2 of article 4 suffer a 50% reduction in State subsidy for electoral campaigns to which they would be entitled under the terms of article 47, of Law No. 11/2013 of September 25th.

3. The effects of the sanctions applied in paragraphs a) and b) of paragraph 1 and paragraph 2 of this article are in force until the fact that gave rise to them is corrected or they cease on the deadline for submitting candidacies for the electoral act subsequent. (Parity Law, Article 9)
