57. What power is granted to the institution(s) responsible for examining reports and/or investigating violations?

[Art. 76i Bearbeiten von Personendaten und Austausch von Informationen
(1) Zur Wahrnehmung ihrer gesetzlichen Aufgaben, insbesondere zur Kontrolle und zur Veröffentlichung, ist die zuständige Stelle befugt, folgende Personendaten zu bearbeiten:
a. Daten über die Identität und die finanzielle Situation der politischen Akteurinnen und Akteure nach den Artikeln 76b und 76c;
b. Daten über die Identität von Personen, die den politischen Akteurinnen und Akteuren nach den Artikeln 76b und 76c monetäre und nichtmonetäre Zuwendungen zukommen lassen;
c. Daten über die Identität von Mandatsträgerinnen und Mandatsträgern, die den politischen Parteien nach Artikel 76b einen Beitrag entrichten. [...]
(3) Auf Anfrage der zuständigen Stelle nach Artikel 76g geben die kantonalen und die kommunalen Behörden, die nach kantonalem Recht für die Transparenz bei der Politikfinanzierung zuständig sind, ihr die Informationen wie namentlich Personendaten bekannt, die für die Durchführung der Kontrolle und für die Veröffentlichung erforderlich sind.]

"Art. 76i Processing of personal data and exchange of information
1. In order to perform its statutory duties, in particular for verification and publication purposes, the competent body is authorised to process the following personal data:
a. data on the identity and financial circumstances of political actors in accordance with Articles 76b and 76c;
b. data on the identity of persons who provide monetary and non-monetary donations to political actors in accordance with Articles 76b and 76c;
c. data on the identity of mandate holders who pay a contribution to the political parties in accordance with Article 76b.

At the request of the competent body in accordance with Article 76g, the cantonal and communal authorities that are responsible under cantonal law for transparency in political funding shall provide the competent body with the information, such as personal data, that is required to carry out the verification process and for publication."
