25. Is there a ban on candidates taking loans in relation to election campaigns?

Subject to the Political Parties Act, a political party or candidate may, for the purpose of financing an election campaign, appeal for and receive contributions from any individual or entity within or outside Malawi.

There are no restrictions on any legal sources of income for campaigning by political parties or candidates.
