28. Are there provisions for direct public funding to political parties?

Section 23: Political Parties Fund
There is established a Fund to be known as the Political Parties Fund, which shall be administered by the Registrar.
24. Sources of moneys in the Fund
(1) The sources of the Fund are—
(a) such funds not being less than zero point three per cent of all the national government’s share of revenue as divided by the annual Division of Revenue Act enacted pursuant to Article 218 of the Constitution as may be determined by the National Assembly."

Political parties in Kenya are entitled to public funds through the Political Party Funds subject to satisfying certain criteria.
