18. Is there a limit on the amount a donor can contribute to a candidate?

Articles 110.2, 110.5 of the Electoral Code, 2022:

2. Vienas aukotojas per rinkimų politinę kampaniją kiekvienam savarankiškam dalyviui gali suteikti auką, neviršijančią 10 rinkimuose taikomų VMDU dydžių.
5. Bendra vieno fizinio asmens aukų, išskyrus mažas aukas, savarankiškiems dalyviams ir politinei partijai sumokėtų nario mokesčių suma per kalendorinius metus negali viršyti 10 procentų fizinio asmens už paskutinius praėjusius kalendorinius metus deklaruotų metinių pajamų (kai auka teikiama po gegužės 1 dienos) arba už užpraeitus kalendorinius metus deklaruotų metinių pajamų (kai auka teikiama iki gegužės 1 dienos).

A donor during an election campaign may give a donation not exceeding the amounts of 10 average monthly earning (AMEs) applied in those elections to each campaign participant. The total amount of donations by one natural person, except for small donations, to campaign participants and to political parties, the amount of membership fees paid during a calendar year cannot exceed 10 % of the natural person's annual income declared for the last calendar year (when the donation is made after May 1) or for the previous calendar year of declared annual income (when the donation is made before May 1).
