Is technology used for identifying voters at polling stations (electronic poll books)?

20. Voters rolls to be kept by Commission

(1) The Commission shall keep and maintain in printed and electronic form a voters roll for each polling station area, containing the names of all registered voters who may vote in that area. [Subsection substituted by Act 6 of 2018]

Although the Article 20 of the Electoral Act provides for the use of electronic voter roll for each polling station area, there is no indication of its use during voter identification process.
