Cecilia Borella is an intern with the Democracy Assessment Team. Cecilia has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations and graduated in June 2022 with the master's in Peace and Conflict Studies at Uppsala University. This spring with Democracy Assessment, she supports both the Europe and Asia-Pacific teams, and her master's research focused on the Asia and Pacific region, specifically Sri-Lanka, China, and the Philippines. She is also interested in global governance and wrote her thesis on the effects of COVID-19 restrictions on protests using a mixed-method analysis. In her free time she likes to watch K-drama and sports.
