Candidates and political parties can have their electoral expenses reimbursed by the State up to:
- the reimbursement ceiling for presidential candidates receiving more than 10 per cent of the votes cast is FCFA 1.5 billion;
- the reimbursement ceiling for parliamentary candidates receiving more than 5 per cent of the votes cast is FCFA 50 million;
- the reimbursement ceiling for candidates at local elections receiving more than 5 per cent of the votes cast is FCFA 20 million.
