47. Do political parties have to report regularly on their finances?

Source: art. 17, the Law of Ukraine on Political Parties in Ukraine, 2001: "The political parties and their local organizations shall keep accounting records in accordance with the legally prescribed procedures and shall undergo an annual in-house financial audit of their activities. In addition, they shall undergo an external independent financial audit in the cases provided for by this Law.
An annual in-house financial audit of a political party shall be performed based on the incomes and expenses of the political party and its local organizations which have acquired the status of a legal entity in accordance with the established procedure by the duly authorized body (official) in accordance with the procedure provided for by the charter of the political party. A political party receiving state funding shall be obliged to undergo external independent audit of financial reporting in the year after the year when state funding was received... On a quarterly basis, no later than on the fortieth day after the end of a reporting quarter, a political party shall submit to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention a report on property, incomes, expenses and obligations of a financial nature."

"Політичні партії, місцеві організації політичних партій ведуть бухгалтерську звітність у встановленому порядку, проводять щорічний внутрішньопартійний фінансовий аудит своєї діяльності, а також проходять зовнішній незалежний фінансовий аудит у випадках, передбачених цим Законом. Щорічний внутрішньопартійний фінансовий аудит політичної партії здійснюється за доходами і витратами політичної партії та її місцевих організацій, які в установленому порядку набули статусу юридичної особи, уповноваженим на те органом чи посадовою особою партії в порядку, визначеному статутом політичної партії... Політична партія щоквартально, не пізніше ніж на сороковий день після закінчення звітного кварталу, зобов’язана подати до Національного агентства з питань запобігання корупції звіт про майно, доходи, витрати і зобов’язання фінансового характеру."
