2. Is there a ban on donations from foreign interests to candidates?

September 1, 2018, the Law 1096 on Political Organizations

Article 71 on restrictions b) "any foreign entity, publlic or private (...) III. the restrictions established for the political organizations in paragraph I in current article applies to candidatures to elective public seats"

"Article 71 on restrictions  (...) IV. exempt from the restrictions the donation from foreign entitities, the donations executed through the EMB which in turn will distribute it according to equality  and propotionality criteria"
