What types of open source systems have been considered or used?

All the applications involved in electoral processes in the Republic of Moldova are designed and developed only in the internal environment of the institution, the source code, the algorithms and the data structure are not publicly exposed. Another reason why the central electoral commission from Moldova doesn’t recommends the use of open source applications in electoral technologies is that they do not ensure the security of information and the protection of personal data.
