ICT has been introduced and used for processing preliminary (non-official) results since 1994. Collation and aggregation of official results is still made manually, and it is based on tally sheets that are produced at each polling station. The representatives of the Electoral Institute receive the results at the Centers for Data Reception and Transmission co-located in the district offices of the National Institute. The results are entered and send to a national datacenter for aggregation and publication.
