Article 122: Transmission of vote counting and closure of elections statements

Election closure and votes counting statements are transmitted within forty-eight (48) hours to the Commission through the means of communication specified by the Commission.

Article 122: Consolidation of election results at a polling station:

[…] After consolidation of election results from the polling station, the Polling station Coordinator puts the report in an appropriate envelope, writes the name and number of the polling station, seals and stamps it, and sends it to the Election Coordinator at the Sector level, and the latter transmits it to the District election Coordinator.

Article 123: Consolidation of election results at District and National level

After consolidation of votes of each candidate from polling stations in the District, the District Election Coordinator announces publicly election results, and prepares the relevant report which is transmitted to the Chairman of the National Electoral Commission in a sealed and stamped envelope or by any other quick means approved by the National Electoral Commission. The said report is done using a format set out as appendix twelve (12) of attached to these regulations.

The Chairman of the National Electoral Commission consolidates election results from all Districts and diplomatic missions of the Republic Rwanda. The format of the document used for consolidation of election results at National level is on appendix thirteen (13) of these regulations.

The regulations do not specify the use of electronic tabulation in any stage of process the results.
