34. Are there provisions for free or subsidized access to media for candidates?

'During elections, political parties and candidates do not get public funds as well as tax exemptions. However, the registered parties are entitled to broadcasting and telecasting facilities in the state-owned media as a form of government subsidy' (2009: 13).
