South Sudan's 2012 Electoral Law defines the country's electoral system as Mixed (Parallel) which has the following components: 125 (60%) members elected using FPTP; 78 (25%) women members using List PR closed list; and 47 (15%) members using List PR using closed list. The next elections are planned to be held in 2022.
