Chad: Meeting between several leaders from several organisations

Committed to contributing to the appeasement of the situation and to restoring confidence between the stakeholders, International IDEA Chad's programme supported the organisation of a meeting between several leaders and influential personalities from several religious, traditional and professional organisations on 13 December 2022. These include the umbrella organisation of traditional authorities and autonomous communities, religious people (Muslims, Catholics, Protestants), the group of elders and women mediators.

The actors welcomed International IDEA's approach of bringing together the sons and daughters of Chad in order to harness their efforts for creating an environment conducive of a peaceful transition.
