Hybrid panel: 20 Years of the Amendments to the 1945 Constitution - In Commemoration of Indonesia's Constitution Day
The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Indonesia and the Centre for Constitutional Studies at Andalas University invite you to a hybrid panel discussion: 20 Years of the Amendments to the 1945 Constitution - In Commemoration of Constitution Day on Thursday, 18 August 2022, 09:00 Jakarta time at Gedung Mahkamah Konstitusi, and via Zoom.
Held during the Constitutional Law Forum 2022, this panel will review the progress made since Indonesia amended its 1945 Constitution, in which momentous changes were achieved through extensive public consultations. Alongside International IDEA’s senior constitutional expert, Professor Tom Ginsburg, leading Indonesian lawyers will review the performance of the amended constitution and identify opportunities for improvement.
