BRIDGE Partners' Photo Exhibition
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections (BRIDGE) and its five partners, the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA), International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the United Nations, have agreed to commemorate the anniversary by organizing a photo exhibition event to showcase the 20 years of BRIDGE history and its achievements made in the field of democracy and elections, as well as to increase public understanding of BRIDGE.
The exhibition will take place at the headquarters of the United Nations, from 8 September to 10 October 2022, coinciding with the period of the upcoming 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The exhibition includes 8 photo cubes, each consisting of four panels 2m x 2m , to display photos, data graphics and related explanations of BRIDGE partners involvement, as well as to exhibit the collective work of BRIDGE at national, regional and global level, with a view to demonstrate the diversity and global reach of BRIDGE over the years. The 34 panels will be printed on a waterproof canvas and each panel will display up to 3-4 selected photos, or data graphics (e.g. world map with an overview/statistical data on BRIDGE trainings), together with relevant explanations.
The inauguration of the exhibition will take place on 8 September, and is an event by invitation only. Guided tours at the UN allow visitors to see the photos of BRIDGE’s history and capacity development aspects on elections and democracy in bright pictures, as well as the strong commitment from partners to continue to support BRIDGE in different contexts including at country, regional and global level.
