Please join us on Tuesday, 25 June at 12:00pm (AEST) for an event held by the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC), the International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA), and the ANU National Security College.

This discussion will bring together actors from across government, civil society and academia to discuss the future of elections and how public trust in the integrity of our electoral systems can be strengthened.

The event will open with introductory remarks from Minister for Home Affairs and Minister for Cyber Security the Hon Clare O'Neil MP and AEC Commissioner Tom Rogers, followed by a panel discussion featuring expert speakers:

  • Ms Therese Pearce-Laanela, Head of Electoral Processes, International IDEA (Chair)
  • Mr Jeff Pope APM, Deputy Electoral Commissioner, AEC
  • Dr Subho Banerjee, Deputy Commissioner, Australian Public Service Commission
  • Mr Justin Bassi, Executive Director, Australian Strategic Policy Institute
  • Ms Katherine Mansted, Executive Director of Cyber Intelligence, Cyber CX
