Section 97: (1) There shall be the following institutions protecting good governance in the Turks and Caicos Islands: [...] (f) a Supervisor of Elections.

(2) In the exercise of their functions each of the institutions protecting good governance, and any person acting on its instructions or on its behalf, shall not be subject to the direction or control of any other person or authority.

Section 104: (1) The office of Supervisor of Elections shall be a public office, and appointments to that office shall be made in accordance with section 91.

(2) The primary responsibility of the Supervisor of Elections shall be, in accordance with any Ordinance: (a) to make arrangements for the registration of electors and the administrative conduct of elections to the House of Assembly; and (b) to enforce on the part of all election officers fairness, impartiality and compliance with any such law.

(3) The Supervisor of Elections shall have and exercise such functions, for the purpose of fulfilling his or her primary responsibility under subsection (2), as may be conferred on him or her by law.
