Article 207. Adoption of an Act Put to Referendum

An act put to referendum shall be adopted in case more than half of the participants of the referendum, but not less than one fourth of citizens with the right to participate in referenda, have voted in favour.

Article 36. Entry into force of the Constitution or its amendments and laws passed by referendum

1. The Constitution or amendments to it and laws adopted by referendum shall enter into force on the day following the publication of the legal act adopted by referendum in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Armenia", unless a later date is provided by the act adopted by referendum.

2. The publication in the "Official Bulletin of the Republic of Armenia" is carried out on the eighth day after the Central Electoral Commission's decision on the adoption of the referendum project is published, if the decision of the Central Electoral Commission has not been appealed to the Constitutional Court.

3. If the decision of the Central Electoral Commission based on the results of the referendum has been appealed to the Constitutional Court, then the publication of the legal act adopted by the referendum in the "Official Gazette of the Republic of Armenia" shall be carried out no later than within five days after the decision of the Constitutional Court to uphold the decision on the summary of the results of the referendum.
