Rajan Murti is the Programme Coordinator in Fiji since December 2019. He previously was a Finance Coordinator from February 2018 until December 2019.

Murti manages the implementation of donor projects and core-funded projects in Fiji and in the Melanesian region, ensuring projects milestones and objectives are met while supporting the partners in their activities under the project. He designs online discussions (webinars) on democratic development issues in Melanesia. In addition, he maintains donor relationship, providing updates and reports through the Canberra regional office. Fundraising for projects to implement in Fiji and Melanesian region are also key activities.

He has worked for Conciliation Resources prior to joining International IDEA in 2017 as the Program Officer based in Fiji to manage a consortium of partners in an EU funded project. Murti has also worked as a Programme officer from 2014 to 2016 managing the Australia Volunteers Program that was implemented by the Australian Red Cross in Fiji. He began his career began as a high school teacher in rural schools in Fiji from 2008 to 2014.
