Nazifa Alizada is the Events and Outreach Coordinator of the Secretary-General's Office in Stockholm.

Nazifa joined International IDEA in November 2022. She leads the coordination of institutional events at the Secretary-General’s Office and manages concept development, partner outreach, develops and cultivates audiences and manages outreach to participants in collaboration with the communications team. Nazifa also develops guidelines for external and internal events proponents and speakers and oversees the event management from planning to execution. She reports on events production, analytics and evaluation, and drafts event summaries for International IDEA’s website.

Prior to International IDEA, Nazifa contributed to the field of democracy as a Programme Manager at the V-Dem Institute. She oversaw the annual data collection cycle at V-Dem and was responsible for coordinating the expert-based data collection cycle. Her role involved recruiting, communication and support to up to 3,700 experts during the coding process and administration of the V-Dem surveys. Nazifa was also responsible for planning and implementing the outreach strategies and campaigns through management of V-Dem’s social media channels, newsletters, website development and administration, publishing V-Dem materials, press releases and communication with external partners. At V-Dem, Nazifa also led the coordination of large scale internal and external events from planning to execution. Previously, Nazifa worked with democracy advocacy as the Editor in Chief of Utblick Magazine at the Society of International Affairs. She also worked at the Swedish Secretariat for Gender Research, and at the Asian University for Women/Ford Foundation.
