Mouldi Ayari is the Senior Programme Officer in the Africa and West Asia Regional Office. 

Mouldi has 14 years of experience in legal and parliamentary affairs, where he participated in drafting the Tunisian Constitution of 2014, and worked as a coordinator between the Tunisian National Constituent Assembly and the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice commission).

He also participated, after the Tunisian Revolution of 2011, in the organisation of the elections of 2011, 2014, 2016, and 2018. He joined on 2018 the Democracy and Electoral Assistance Unit of the African Union Commission, and worked as expert with multiple international organization like UNDP Tunisia and UNDP Sudan. Mouldi joined International IDEA in June 2023.
