Katalin Dobias
Katalin Dobias’s work focused on Process, Inclusion, and Participation in constitution building with a special emphasis on gender equality. Previously, she was responsible for ConstitutionNet, International IDEA's global online knowledge platform for constitution builders.
Prior to joining International IDEA, Dobias ran a regional research and mapping project for the UN Refugee Agency on asylum-seekers' access to socio-economic rights in seven countries across Central and Eastern Europe. Before that, she strengthened the International Advocacy and Criminal Justice Reform teams of the Open Society Justice Initiative, and started off her legal career by providing free legal counseling for indigent clients at the Hungarian Ministry of Justice. Dobias specialised in human rights and migration as a Fulbright scholar at Harvard Law School, in comparative constitutional law at the Central European University and in EU law at the University of Cambridge.
