Emma Kenny

Associate Programme Officer, Democracy Assessment

Emma Kenny is an Associate Programme Officer of the Democracy Assessment (DA) Unit. Her work focuses on providing research, analysis, and communications support for the Global State of Democracy (GSoD) Programme. Her research is principally focused on democracy and human rights in the Asia & the Pacific Region.  

Prior to joining IDEA, Emma served as a Research Coordinator and Research Assistant to the Program on Gender, Rights and Resilience at the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative. Her additional work experience includes having worked for UNICEF Sweden as well as having interned with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and World Health Organization (WHO). Emma is a Swedish Fulbright scholar-recipient alum with an M.A. in International Affairs from Northeastern University in Boston, United States.
