Annamari T. Salonen

Former Programme Manager

Annamari T. Salonen was a Programme Manager at the Myanmar office from 2016 to 2018. The programme she managed, MyConstitution, focuses on developing expertise in Myanmar on constitution building processes and practice.

Salonen joined International IDEA from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Bhutan. At UNDP Bhutan she managed the Inclusive Governance Portfolio, which encompassed programmes on parliamentary strengthening, access to justice, gender equality, and civic engagement.

Previously, Salonen held project management and policy advisory positions at the International Secretariat of Amnesty International, the Sigrid Rausing Trust, and the Finnish League for Human Rights. She has also worked on a number of consultancy assignments for the European Commission and European Agencies in her position as Senior Consultant at the Centre for Strategy and Evaluation Services.
