Alejandra Sepúlveda

Project Manager

Alejandra Sepúlveda is the Project Manager of the "Strengthening Electoral Integrity Ecosystems to Protect Democracies in Latin America" project. The project focuses on Chile, Mexico, and Colombia, and also includes Guatemala, Uruguay, and Peru. It is supported by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID)

Alejandra joined International IDEA in March 2025. She has extensive and solid professional experience in various leadership roles, including the management of non-profit organizations, coordination of projects, and public-private platforms in collaboration with international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Economic Forum. She also has significant experience in the media as an editor, international correspondent, spokesperson, and opinion columnist. Alejandra was recognized with the Alumni Award for her professional career by Diego Portales University.

She worked for 17 years at ComunidadMujer, based in Santiago de Chile and since 2021 she has been its executive president, a position she leaves to join the regional team of International IDEA.
